The weekly digest is an AI-generated Slack message that summarises the past week in your inventory: what’s selling, what’s stuck, what’s at risk, and what needs attention. It’s personalised to your shop’s actual data, not a generic dashboard dump.
This is a shop-wide weekly summary written by the assistant. The per-rule digest/summary frequencies in the Notifications section are unrelated - those bundle alerts from a single rule and are a separate feature.

What’s in a digest

Each digest opens with a short top-line summary of the week, then up to six sections - any section with no data is skipped:
  • Urgent reorders - SKUs projected to stock out within this week
  • Trending up - SKUs whose velocity accelerated vs. last week
  • Trending down - SKUs whose velocity slowed vs. last week
  • Overstock - SKUs with excess inventory eating shelf space
  • Back in stock - SKUs that recovered from a stockout this week
  • Strong movers - SKUs with the biggest revenue gains
Each section shows up to three example SKUs plus a total count, and a one-sentence AI narrative explaining what’s going on and what to consider.

Schedule

Pick the day of week and time of day the digest fires. Defaults to Monday at 9am in your shop’s timezone. To set or change the schedule:
  1. Go to SettingsAI
  2. Under Weekly insights, pick the Slack channel
  3. Set the Day of week and Time of day
If the day is changed, the next digest fires on the new day.

Feedback

Each digest has Helpful and Not helpful buttons at the bottom. One click records your rating. We use this feedback to keep tuning the digest - both what’s surfaced and how it’s written.

Turning it off

If you don’t want digests, you can:
  • Toggle Enable weekly insights off under SettingsAI
  • Or disable AI features entirely with the Enable Stockful AI toggle at the top of the same page
Either stops the digest from being generated and sent.

Plan availability

Available on all paid plans.

Troubleshooting

  • No digest arrived on the scheduled day - check the configured Slack channel still exists and Stockful is still a member. Check SettingsAI that weekly insights is enabled and pointed at a channel.
  • Digest seems generic - it’s drawn from your recent inventory and sales data; shops that just installed Stockful won’t get a useful digest until enough history has accumulated.
