What you can filter by
Product attributes
The everyday fields: product type, vendor, tags, status, SKU, barcode, and variant options. Available everywhere.Category
Filter by Shopify’s standard product category. Category filters are tier-aware - picking a parent category (for example Apparel) also matches everything beneath it (Apparel > Shirts, and so on).Collection
Filter to products in one or more of your Shopify collections.Sales channels & catalogs
Filter by where a product is available, matching Shopify’s own catalog filters:- Sales channel - Online Store, Point of Sale, Shop, and other channels
- Region catalog - a market catalog for a region (for example United Kingdom)
- B2B catalog - a market catalog for a B2B market
- Company location catalog - a catalog assigned directly to a company location
A catalog filter only appears if your store actually has catalogs of that kind. If you don’t sell B2B, you won’t see the B2B or company-location catalog filters - and only active catalogs are offered.
Bundles
- Bundle - the product is a bundle made up of component products
- Part of a bundle - the product is used as a component inside another bundle
Product details
Handy true/false and value filters: gift card, taxable, requires shipping, subscription only, country / province of origin, and weight.Metafields
Filter by your own metafields - both product and variant metafields. Before a metafield can be used as a filter, enable it under Settings > Metafields. Only supported types are available: text, number, boolean, and date. The Metafields settings page has two sections - Product metafields and Variant metafields - so you can enable each independently.Newly enabled metafields can take up to 24 hours to populate for your existing products. New and edited products pick them up sooner.
Where each filter is available
Almost every filter works in Inventory and Reports. Notification rules (and scheduled reports) support the ones that scope a rule to a set of products - product attributes, category, collection, sales channels & catalogs, and metafields. Bundle and product-detail filters are Inventory + Reports only. Tracking exclusion rules (Settings > Tracking, and during setup) support product attributes, category, collection, and your enabled metafields - so you can exclude a whole collection from tracking, for example. Sales-channel and catalog filters aren’t offered here, since where a product sells isn’t a basis for whether Stockful tracks it.Why a filter might be missing
Stockful only shows filters that make sense for your store, so the list stays relevant:- Catalog filters appear only when you have active catalogs of that kind.
- Metafield filters appear only after you enable the metafield in Settings.
- Filter values (the specific channels, categories, collections you can pick) come from your synced data, refreshed nightly.
