Install from the Shopify App Store

  1. Find Stockful in the Shopify App Store or search for it from your Shopify admin
  2. Click Add app, review the permissions, and click Install app
Stockful only requests read access - it never modifies your products, orders, or inventory.

Choose a plan

After installing, you’ll be asked to choose a plan. You can start with the Free plan (up to 25 products, 1 location) or choose a paid plan for full catalog tracking. Every paid plan starts with a 14-day free trial. See Plans & Billing for details on pricing and limits.

Complete the setup wizard

The setup wizard walks you through a few quick steps before tracking begins. The steps vary slightly depending on your plan.
  1. Sync store data - Stockful pulls your locations and product categories from Shopify (takes a few seconds)
  2. Choose locations - select which locations you want to track
  3. Set thresholds - configure your low stock and overstock thresholds, exclusion rules, valuation mode, and sales channel tracking
  4. Connect Slack (optional) - link your Slack workspace to receive stock alerts in a channel
  5. Start tracking - click the button and Stockful begins importing your full inventory data

Free plan

  1. Sync store data - same as paid
  2. Choose locations - select which location to track (1 location on the Free plan)
  3. Select products - pick up to 25 products to track using the product picker
  4. Set thresholds - configure your low stock and overstock thresholds, valuation mode, and sales channel tracking
  5. Connect Slack (optional) - same as paid
  6. Start tracking - same as paid
You can change your tracked products later in Settings → Tracking.
You can change any of these settings later in Settings. Don’t worry about getting everything perfect - just pick sensible defaults and adjust as you go.

The initial sync

After you click “Start tracking,” Stockful imports your products, variants, and current stock levels. This runs in the background - you’ll see a progress banner at the top of the app.

Once the sync finishes, Stockful switches to real-time tracking. Every inventory change from that point forward is recorded automatically - no action needed from you.
Stockful can only track changes from the moment it’s installed. Historical data from before installation isn’t available.

Uninstalling

To remove Stockful, go to Settings → Apps and sales channels in your Shopify admin and click Remove app.
Uninstalling permanently deletes all your tracking history. Export any reports you need before removing the app.
