# Dead Stock

> Items that have stopped selling and are tying up capital

The **Dead Stock** report lists items that still have stock on hand but haven't sold in a long time - inventory that's gone stale.

**Key columns**: product, variant, SKU, location, on-hand quantity, days since last sale, last sale date, and inventory value.

**When to use it**: to find clearance and liquidation candidates. Unlike [Zero Sales](/user-guide/reports/zero-sales), these items *did* sell at some point but have since gone quiet.
