# Marketplaces

> Bring your Amazon, eBay and Etsy sales into forecasts, so demand reflects the whole business

If you sell on Amazon, eBay or Etsy as well as Shopify, a forecast built on Shopify alone sees only part of your demand. A product selling steadily on more than one channel looks slower than it really is, so its reorder point sits too low and it runs out earlier than the numbers led you to expect.

Connecting a marketplace will let Stockful read your sales history from it, so sales rates, days of supply and reorder points reflect what the business actually sells rather than what one channel sells.

## What it will do

Stockful will only ever **read** from a marketplace. Nothing is written back: no listings, no prices, no stock levels.

Connecting will not change any of your numbers on its own. Letting marketplace demand into your forecasts is a separate switch you control, off until you turn it on, so you can connect and look before anything moves.

Marketplace SKUs will be matched to your products by SKU first, then barcode. Anything that doesn't match is kept and listed for you to map rather than quietly dropped, so no sales history is lost while you sort a mismatch out. Mapping a SKU applies to sales already imported, not just future ones.
